I was crouched low, lens trained on this magnificent cougar as it emerged from the thicket, each step deliberate and silent. You could feel it in the air—that charged tension that only wild animals can conjure. The closer it came, the more everything else fell away. Just me, the camera, and a predator that knew exactly what it was doing.
