Wild Cheetah on the Grasslands | Limited Edition of 10
Fine Art Wall Print of a Cheetah from Safari in Tanzania
I took this on an unforgettable trip through Tanzania. It was one of those early mornings where everything feels quiet but alert. The air was cool, the light was sharp, and the land felt wide open. We had been out for hours when this cheetah stepped into view, moving slow, scanning. I waited. Then it paused—just long enough.
That brief stillness was everything. The wild cheetah on the grasslands wasn’t performing. It wasn’t hunting or running. It just stood there—composed, confident, and alive in the silence. That’s the kind of moment you hope for on safari. Not a chase. Just a connection.
The early sun hit across the body just right—highlighting the curves of muscle and the spotted pattern that almost blends into the field behind it. The grass was dry, brittle underfoot. The cheetah didn’t flinch. It turned its head for one last look before slipping out of frame. That’s when I made this image. What you see here is that fraction of time—a fine art wall print drawn from presence, not motion.
I left it in black and white. Color would have softened it. This isn’t about spectacle. It’s about structure and stillness. In monochrome, you feel the tension more—the contrast between strength and ease, the light and shadow sitting just right on the frame. It’s a portrait, but not posed. Natural geometry, honest texture.
This wild cheetah on the grasslands print came out of one of the best photographic days I’ve ever had. Tanzania changed how I see wildlife—less as something to chase, more as something to wait for. This moment didn’t roar. It whispered. And sometimes that lands harder.
