I photographed this abstract interior detail during a quiet moment inside the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute—a space where science meets sculpture.
This isn’t a traditional architectural photo. I wasn’t trying to document the building. I was drawn to the repeating curves, the softened geometry, the way the light slid across metal and glass without any sharpness. The structure breathes—it doesn’t just stand. And for a brief moment, I saw it not as a room, but as rhythm.
Abstract architecture like this lives in the details. The way light wraps around form. The subtle play between repetition and variation. It’s easy to walk past it, especially in a place built for labs and research. But in this frame, everything lines up—texture, tone, movement. It becomes less about what the space is, and more about how it feels.
