White Wine Glass and Bottle Golden Still Life Photography
Warm Reflections Curve Through Glass Against Deep Black
The broad golden curve inside the glass gives this studio photograph its warmth. A wine bottle stands at the left, mostly hidden in black, while the cropped glass occupies the right. I kept the colour restrained so the pale wine, its level surface and the illuminated contours could shape the entire composition.
This belongs to a smaller studio series within my largely travel-based archive. I made these photographs slowly, adjusting the objects and light until the reflections described the arrangement. It was a different rhythm from finding a scene on the road: I could build the picture gradually and watch small changes alter the balance.
The bottle appears mainly as a slender, curving white edge. Beside it, a stronger amber reflection bends around the glass bowl and narrows toward the stem. Neither object is shown in full. Their cropped forms let the eye move between familiar wine vessels and a more abstract pattern of lines, curves and dark space.
For me, the gold is essential. It prevents the image from becoming only an outline study and gives the otherwise dark palette a quiet glow. The vertical arrangement has a clear presence at a distance, while close viewing reveals subtler reflections within the glass. I see it bringing a measured warmth to a contemporary dining area, with enough empty black space to let those few lit shapes remain the focus.

About My Fine Art Photography
Every photograph in my collection comes from my own travels, explorations, and years behind the camera.
I create my work as photographic art rather than mass-produced decoration. From street portraits and abandoned places to landscapes, architecture, and the unusual subjects I discover along the way, each image begins with something that made me stop and look.
My photographs are available in multiple sizes so the same image can work in anything from an intimate wall space to a large statement installation.
