Old Havana Weathered Garage Doors With Green Panels Colour Photography

Faded Green Wood Panels Within A Worn Cream Wall

The green panels remain the most distinct colour in these old Havana doors. Around them, wood has faded through brown, grey and darker red, with paint worn away unevenly across the surface. A pale cream wall frames the opening, its cracked plaster adding another kind of texture beside the timber.

I photographed this doorway in 2017. I like the way the original panel pattern remains readable despite all the small irregularities. Some boards sit at different angles, a crosspiece interrupts the right side, and the lower sections have a rougher, more patched appearance. The doors make a clear rectangle, but very little within it feels perfectly aligned.

The wall is just as interesting at closer range. Warm yellow marks appear in the plaster, and a broken area near the base opens into darker space. Those details give the photograph depth without needing a view inside. The muted green stays central, held between the warmer wall and the quieter grey wood.

As Cuban street detail wall art, this image brings worn surfaces and restrained colour into a hallway, study or living room. It can sit comfortably with natural wood and cream furnishings, allowing the green panels to become a modest accent. For someone who enjoys doors and the small architectural details of travel, the photograph offers plenty to explore. Its character comes from the visible materials and their uneven surfaces, rather than a story about who once used the building.

About My Fine Art Photography

Every photograph in my collection comes from my own travels, explorations, and years behind the camera.

I create my work as photographic art rather than mass-produced decoration. From street portraits and abandoned places to landscapes, architecture, and the unusual subjects I discover along the way, each image begins with something that made me stop and look.

My photographs are available in multiple sizes so the same image can work in anything from an intimate wall space to a large statement installation.
