Yellow Doorways of Bogotá | Limited Edition of 10
Bogotá’s Bold Geometry in Yellow and Blue
There’s something magnetic about Bogotá’s street life—its rhythm, its palette, and its quiet pride in colour. This image was taken in the heart of Colombia’s capital, where vibrant facades are a defining feature of the cultural landscape. The brilliant yellow doors and windows stand out against a sea of blue, framed by red-tiled awnings and delicate white accents. It’s more than just a wall—it’s an expression.
What drew me in wasn’t just the colour but the structure. The symmetry is not quite perfect. The texture of the paint is slightly weathered, yet still bold. The handwritten sign on the tile reads “Casa Anita,” or Anita's House. This doorway, like so many in Bogotá, speaks volumes about identity, design, and history all at once.
I composed this shot straight-on to emphasize the formal balance—the yellow door, the matching window grille, and the red roof tiles like eyebrows arched in mid-thought. There’s a quiet energy to it. It’s not loud. It’s grounded, proud, and unapologetically local.
This piece works beautifully in both modern and eclectic interiors. Hang it where colour matters—entryways, kitchens, workspaces. Pair it with natural wood, concrete, or white walls to let the colours breathe. It carries warmth, brightness, and a subtle nod to architectural storytelling.
Captured during one of my walking explorations through Bogotá’s central neighbourhoods, this is not a tourist stop or curated mural. It’s just a real street, on a real block, holding its own in a changing world.
Like all my prints, this one is hand-signed. No AI, no digital fakery—just a real photograph made with care and intention.
