Minimalist Snow and Rock Wall Art with High Contrast
I remember standing there, camera in hand, breath clouding in front of me—though honestly, most of the time I was too focused to notice the cold. What grabbed me wasn’t the grandeur of the Antarctic range as a whole—it was the gritty, raw face of this single wall of ice and stone. This was texture made monumental. Jagged fractures, sweeping white flanks, and dark stone veins that looked like they’d been clawed from the earth itself. If you’ve ever stared into a mountain long enough to get lost in it, this piece is for you.
Shot in black and white to strip everything back to form and contrast, this print leans all the way into minimalism, while still carrying the weight of something immense and ancient. There’s no fluff here. No postcard prettiness. Just what the mountain gave me, right then and there. I didn’t engineer this scene. I didn’t stitch it together in software. I hiked, I climbed, and I waited. And when it all came together—the mood, the light, the balance—I pressed the shutter and locked it in.
Some people see an abstract sculpture when they look at this. Others, a document of survival. For me, it’s both. This kind of imagery pushes past the typical definition of ‘landscape.’ It becomes a dialogue between surface and depth, between stillness and story. You start noticing how the snow swirls into ledges and then drops off like an avalanche mid-sentence. You see ridgelines that don’t follow logic but feel entirely right. Every element here is honest—textured by time and temperature, not trend.
What I love most is how this image rewards quiet attention. Hang it on a wall, and it doesn’t shout. It lingers. It becomes part of the room’s architecture, adding both weight and clarity to any space—especially those that lean toward modern, minimalist, or industrial design. I’ve printed this piece using archival materials that capture the depth and tonality of the original negative—something only real field photography can deliver. Every print is signed by hand. No AI. No composites. Just the mountain and me.

Limited Edition of 10
This photograph is released as a signed and numbered limited edition of only 10 prints in total across all available sizes combined—not 10 prints in each size.
Every size is drawn from the same edition. Whether the photograph is purchased as a small print or at the largest available size, it uses one of the 10 edition numbers.
I personally sign and number each print on the reverse, and every print is accompanied by a signed Certificate of Authenticity recording its title, dimensions, medium, edition number, and date of issue.
Once all 10 prints have been sold, the edition will be permanently closed. No additional numbered editions of the photograph will be produced in another size or format.
Premium Archival Fine Art Prints
I personally produce every photograph using archival pigment inks on premium archival paper with a subtle luster finish.
The paper provides rich tonal depth, excellent fine-detail reproduction, and a refined surface that reduces distracting glare under normal indoor lighting. It is especially well suited to both color and black-and-white photography.
Each photograph is sold as an unframed fine art print, allowing it to be framed according to the collector’s space and personal style.
Before a print leaves my studio, I carefully inspect it for color, tonal accuracy, surface quality, and overall presentation. Nothing is outsourced, and every finished print passes through my hands.

Every print is personally produced, inspected, signed, numbered, and carefully packaged by me at my studio in Haliburton, Ontario, Canada.
Worldwide delivery is included in the listed price, so there is no additional shipping charge added during checkout. I select an appropriate tracked delivery service based on the destination, print size, and current shipping requirements.
Delivery times vary by destination and may be affected by customs processing or circumstances beyond my control.
Because I also travel extensively to create new photographic work, studio dispatch may occasionally be delayed while I am away. When that happens, the print will be produced and shipped as soon as I return to the studio.
