Angled Glass Panels and Reflected Towers Form a Dense Grid

Walking through Seoul, I stopped across the street from a tower I had been studying and looked upward. Its glass surfaces brought nearby buildings into the same view, creating a dense arrangement of angles and reflections. This black and white photograph stays close to that geometry, leaving the street and sky outside the frame.

On the right, pale panels repeat in a clear grid that turns sharply around a corner. Toward the centre, the same lines run at a steeper angle, giving the facade depth. The left side carries darker reflected towers, whose windows make a second pattern within the first. I wanted those layers to remain visible without needing to identify each building separately.

The narrow dark sections near the centre interrupt the brighter panels and give the eye a point of contrast. From there, the repeated lines lead outward in several directions. Working in monochrome let me focus on that arrangement: lighter surfaces, darker reflections and the changing angles between them. What I enjoy is how a familiar city subject becomes more abstract when the view is kept this close. The photograph still belongs to Seoul’s architecture, but its immediate appeal is in the pattern I noticed from the pavement below: one facade reflecting another, with both held inside a single grid of glass.

About My Fine Art Photography

Every photograph in my collection comes from my own travels, explorations, and years behind the camera.

I create my work as photographic art rather than mass-produced decoration. From street portraits and abandoned places to landscapes, architecture, and the unusual subjects I discover along the way, each image begins with something that made me stop and look.

My photographs are available in multiple sizes so the same image can work in anything from an intimate wall space to a large statement installation.
