Tasca El Corral Barcelona Interior Colour Photography
Red Lettering Above Hanging Meats and a Lit Counter
I came across this entrance while walking in Barcelona, Spain, and stopped at the contrast between the dark doorway and the brightly lit interior. Red lettering spells out Tasca El Corral above it. Inside, cured meats hang near the ceiling, with bottles arranged on shelves farther back. I photographed the open entrance so those details could remain part of one view from the street.
The hanging meats are the first objects to catch the interior light. Several are suspended from a circular fixture, while rows of sausages extend across the space beyond them. Below, the counter carries a different arrangement of smaller shapes. I like how the photograph moves from those overhead forms to the dense rows of bottles and then down toward the floor.
The door on the right stays much darker. Its glossy surface catches a few reflections without revealing every detail, giving the bright interior a clear edge. A large barrel occupies the lower left, and a smaller wooden container stands farther inside. The stone surround and pavement keep the doorway connected to the street outside.
The colour is strongest in the red sign and the warmer interior details. Around them, deep browns and shadow give the entrance depth. I wanted to preserve the view that made me pause: an ordinary open doorway with enough light and detail beyond it to invite a closer look. The photograph holds that threshold, keeping the street, doorway and interior visible together.

About My Fine Art Photography
Every photograph in my collection comes from my own travels, explorations, and years behind the camera.
I create my work as photographic art rather than mass-produced decoration. From street portraits and abandoned places to landscapes, architecture, and the unusual subjects I discover along the way, each image begins with something that made me stop and look.
My photographs are available in multiple sizes so the same image can work in anything from an intimate wall space to a large statement installation.
