Istanbul Airport Curved Ceiling and Walkway Black and White Architectural Photography
Repeating Roof Panels Above a Long Sunlit Terminal Corridor
Looking down this airport corridor in Istanbul, I was drawn to the way the ceiling curves repeat above a long, straight walkway. The photograph combines broad architectural shapes with fine lines: rounded roof panels overhead, angled supports beside the windows and narrow rails leading into the distance.
The bright window wall occupies the left side, where daylight spreads across the pale floor. On the right, a moving walkway and a row of round columns create another route through the frame. Between them, alternating strips of floor tile draw the eye toward the distant centre. I like how these parallel directions give the space a clear sense of depth.
Overhead, the curved panels have closely spaced ribs that make a delicate pattern across their larger forms. Their edges overlap as the corridor recedes, becoming smaller and more closely gathered. Black and white allows the light on these surfaces to remain the main colour of the image, moving from bright window reflections to soft grey ceilings and darker gaps.
I kept the view square so the ceiling and floor could share the composition. The result is an architectural photograph with both a strong destination point and plenty of surface detail. It suits a contemporary office, hallway or design studio, especially where clean lines and neutral tones already shape the room. The repeated curves bring movement to the space while the long walkway gives the image a steady centre.
