Timeless Whisper: The 13th Century Hore Abbey – A Fine Art Print

Enveloped in the hushed whispers of time, the Hore Abbey, a 13th-century Cistercian relic, is a testament to a bygone era. Nestled amidst Ireland's verdant countryside, a spectral figure silhouetted against an overcast sky came into my view on a cloudy day.

Journeying through the lush landscapes, my wife and I stumbled upon this historical marvel. It was a serendipitous discovery, a mere 15-minute walk from the famed Rock of Cashel. I was drawn to Abbey's desolate beauty, its solitude resonating with my fondness for urban photography.

Originally home to the Benedictine order in 1266, the Hore Abbey has a history as rich and layered as its stone façade. Legends say that Archbishop David McCarvill expelled the Benedictine monks following a prophetic dream of his murder. Though built in the 13th century, the Abbey underwent various changes in the 15th century. The noticeable addition of the central tower pays tribute to the restrained yet compelling design synonymous with the Cistercians.

As an artist, I found an intimate connection with this site, the stark outlines of the Abbey against the Irish sky forming a breathtaking tableau. The photograph, a frozen moment in time, captures Abbey's timeless allure in sharp precision and rich hues. Hand-signed on the reverse, this museum-grade print emanates an exceptional quality, reflecting my passion for photography.

The print, produced on acid-free, 100% archival photo paper with archival inks, offers a visual experience marked by smooth transitions, deep blacks, intricate details, and vibrant colors. The photograph has a lifetime warranty against fading, ensuring its beauty remains untarnished for years. Each purchase also includes a certificate of authenticity, underscoring the print's unique value.

Please be aware that the print purchase does not include a frame. However, we offer free global delivery and a 14-day satisfaction guarantee, with the assurance of full reimbursement if needed. Experience the magic of Ireland's past through this breathtaking photograph, a testament to Abbey's history and my journey as an artist.

Limited Edition of 10

This photograph is released as a signed and numbered limited edition of only 10 prints in total across all available sizes combined—not 10 prints in each size.

Every size is drawn from the same edition. Whether the photograph is purchased as a small print or at the largest available size, it uses one of the 10 edition numbers.

I personally sign and number each print on the reverse, and every print is accompanied by a signed Certificate of Authenticity recording its title, dimensions, medium, edition number, and date of issue.

Once all 10 prints have been sold, the edition will be permanently closed. No additional numbered editions of the photograph will be produced in another size or format.

Premium Archival Fine Art Prints

I personally produce every photograph using archival pigment inks on premium archival paper with a subtle luster finish.

The paper provides rich tonal depth, excellent fine-detail reproduction, and a refined surface that reduces distracting glare under normal indoor lighting. It is especially well suited to both color and black-and-white photography.

Each photograph is sold as an unframed fine art print, allowing it to be framed according to the collector’s space and personal style.

Before a print leaves my studio, I carefully inspect it for color, tonal accuracy, surface quality, and overall presentation. Nothing is outsourced, and every finished print passes through my hands.

Worldwide Delivery Included

Every print is personally produced, inspected, signed, numbered, and carefully packaged by me at my studio in Haliburton, Ontario, Canada.

Worldwide delivery is included in the listed price, so there is no additional shipping charge added during checkout. I select an appropriate tracked delivery service based on the destination, print size, and current shipping requirements.

Delivery times vary by destination and may be affected by customs processing or circumstances beyond my control.

Because I also travel extensively to create new photographic work, studio dispatch may occasionally be delayed while I am away. When that happens, the print will be produced and shipped as soon as I return to the studio.
