Ontario abandoned factory in ruin | Limited Edition of 10
The Donald Ghost chemical facility is located in Haliburton County, Ontario, Canada
There are still the skeletal ruins of the massive plant established by Standard Chemical in the Haliburton Highlands in the early 19th century. After removing all the metal, the structure was closed and abandoned in 1946. All the iron machinery was dismantled and sold for scrap, including the furnaces and retorts.
This shot portrays the derelict plant's upper level. The wooden floor and cement arches have been preserved and are still in use. However, garbage can be seen all over the picture. But, incredibly, the building has survived 70 years of neglect.
