I’ve been passionate about photography since I was 15 years old. It all began in high school when I joined the photography club, where I learned to develop film and print photos in the darkroom. This hands-on experience was the foundation of my love for capturing images. Growing up in Toronto, a vibrant and multicultural city with Croatian roots, I developed a deep appreciation for diverse cultures and landscapes. My Croatian heritage, with its rich history and lively traditions, has always been a source of inspiration for my work. My career as an IT consultant took me around the world, allowing me to document my travels and build a portfolio that spans over 30 years. Now that I’m retired, I’m fully dedicated to my lifelong passion, capturing the beauty and stories of the world through my photography.

What was your first camera?

My first camera was a Kodak Instamatic X15, which I received as a Christmas gift when I was 12. This simple, easy-to-use camera sparked my initial interest in photography. When I joined the photography club in high school, I began using my father’s Pentax 35mm camera, which offered more advanced features and allowed me to learn the intricacies of film photography.
