Sail rigging Bluenose II Lunenburg Nova Scotia | Photo Art Print

Original sail rigging from the famous Bluenose II
Nova Scotia's sailing ambassador, Bluenose II, is an exact copy of her famous mother, the original Bluenose schooner, which was built in 1921 and went 17 years without losing a race anywhere in the world. Bluenose II sails from her birthplace and home port, Lunenburg, which is a Canadian UNESCO World Heritage Site on Nova Scotia's South Shore.
September 29, 2012, marked the completion of the restoration and relaunch of the Bluenose II. During the restoration, a lot of the original ship was used again, like the rigging, masts, sails, ironwork, deck structures, and safety gear.
This limited edition fine art photograph print beautifully displays the elegant lines of the original sail rigging from this famous Canadian sailing ship. I love the minimalistic nature of this image. It has an artistic nautical feel you can only get by focusing on the details of the sailing ship.
