Discovering a Hidden World Revealed on a Late Fall Hike
The magnificence of a hike through the Haliburton Highlands in October with the backdrop of golden trees is a sight to behold.
Just to the south of Algonquin Park is where you'll find the Haliburton Highlands. The Haliburton Highlands is next door to Algonquin Provincial Park, protecting the equally rugged Algonquin Highlands.
A fall colours paradise
The woodland there is extremely reminiscent of the one in Algonquin. The red and sugar Maples predominate, with bright reds, golds, and oranges in their foliage. Yellow Birch trees that are tall and twisted contribute to the coziness of the canopy, while Red Oak trees bring a rich crimson color to the overall palette. The forest has a green hue thanks to the pine and hemlock trees.
This fine art limited edition photographic print by Dan Kosmayer features a lovely image of this colorful fall woodland.
