Ten Hours Inside the Toronto G20 Police Kettling at King and Spadina

Black-and-white documentary photograph I captured during the 2010 G20 protests in downtown Toronto, showing a dense line of riot police standing behind shields as crowds gathered near King and Spadina. I rode my bike downtown with my Leica M9 to document what was unfolding in the city and found myself caught inside the police kettling at the intersection. 

I was not there as a protester but simply as an observer with a camera, photographing a historic moment as it happened.
