Antarctica Blowing Snow

The black and white photo of the coastline of this Antarctica landscape looks like an ominous storm approaching. The clouds hovering above the land and the blowing snow belseemems scary. The ocean is relatively calm, and the coastline with massive cliffs has some sun illuminating the cold, harsh climate. However, just behind the end, ice cliffs are approaching a dark, evil-looking storm.

Although one would think that massive snowstorms frequently happen in the south pole, the fact is that blizzards do not happen very often. As this picture shows, you will typically see the wind blowing loose is already on the surface.
