Abstract water spray
This fine art nature-themed photography features an abstract view of ocean spray violently hitting the bow of the ice breaker on my journey across the Drake passage heading to Antarctica.
The Drake Passage is the body of water located between Cape Horn in South America and Antarctica's South Shetland Islands. Here the Atlantic and Pacific oceans converge, often resulting in some of the choppiest waters in the world.
"Crossing the Drake Passage can be choppy, but it's worth it."
The sea was angry that day, creating ideal conditions for photographing the smashing of the waves against the large ship. Some of these splashes would extend to 30-45 feet (10-15 m).
