Tuscany Italy Calm Quiet Street

Beautiful scenic small towns in Tuscany
The larger towns and cities in Tuscany are great, but the pleasure of visiting Tuscany is exploring the narrow streets and laneways of its many smaller towns. These streets are some of the sights that make Tuscany famous.
Montalcino, Tuscany
Here we have a small corner of that world - Montalcino, Province of Siena, Italy. Montalcino is a small hill town in central Italy. The Italian village is known for agriculture and the production of wine.
The old European buildings in this photograph date back to the 13th century. The street is empty, and the buildings are bathed in warm sunset light. All the windows in these Italian buildings have painted wooden shutters. The wooden door at Costa Spagni, 20, 53024 Montalcino SI Italy, has a unique old-world design and has been varnished to preserve its age and character. The weathered textured walls of these centuries-old homes reveal a sense of history and timelessness. Dozens of generations of Italians walked these streets.
