Homeless beard man in torn clothing walking on the street
This image is one of my first 'street photography' images. I shot this image about 20 years ago of a homeless beard man walking down the streets of downtown Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The man is homeless, I am assuming. He is wearing a worn and old-looking jacket, and his pants are of a winter variety and insulated, are torn. He has a long white ragged beard. I was walking in front of him and turning and taking several images. He did not acknowledge my presence and seemed fine that I randomly selected him as my subject in this photograph.
I find that his face has character. I was pretty new at the 'street photography' game and still quite shy to approach people. Today I would have approached him and engaged in conversation, which might have led to a better headshot where you could see his face close up.
