Sunset over the mountains in Antarctica

Antarctica sunrise and sunset
Beautiful sunset with mountains and icebergs as the subject is featured in this photograph with the orange and pink sky during the midnight sun. The pristine landscape is particularly stunning during sunrise and sunset in Antarctica.
This photograph was taken in early December, just before the longest daylight in the southern hemisphere on December 21st, when the sun is above the horizon during the solstice in the Antarctic Circle. As you approach the solstice period, twilight each day is in the middle of the night rather than mid-day.
