Sandstorm over desert road
Sand is blown over the dirt road near Keeler, California, in Inyo County.
This landscape photograph features an empty road along California landscape near the Ghost town of Keeler. All you can see is the dried-out road and power line in the distance. By all accounts, Keeler is a ghost town in the desert. Many buildings are falling apart, and the lake it sits on is dry. Blowing sand engulfs the horizon of this desolate community of about fifty people. The mines in the town built to support have long been dried out.
