Point Pelee marsh

Panorama of the large marsh at Point Pelee National Park
This black and white landscape photograph features the extensive natural Point Pelee marsh wetlands in the Canadian National Park. This nature marsh is connected to the Great Lakes and one of southern Ontario's most extensive remaining marshes. The protected natural wetland is critical to conservation and biological diversity. Point Pelee National Park is Canada's second-smallest National park but Canada's largest marsh's natural habitat. The swamp covers about two-thirds of the entire area of the park.
The long boardwalk through the Marsh allows users to view the incredible biodiversity, including birds, fish, frogs, insects, mammals, plants, and snakes. In addition, the park is well known to bird watchers as a critical stop-over for migratory birds in the spring. After a long flight, the birds use the marsh wetlands to forage food.
