Old fishing shed with blue door in PEI Canada
Old and worn shed or garage with a blue door
The Canadian Maritimes is a beautiful place to travel and explore. When traveling through eastern Canada, I tend to drive off the beaten path and explore small rural townships. Time does seem to stand still in some of these small towns. It was a dreary rainy and fog-laden day when I rolled into this small coastal fishing village in rural Prince Edward Island (PEI). It was heavily overcast, and the rain was drizzling all day. In other words, a great day to get saturated and moody images!
This urban photograph is one of the wooden fishing huts or garages that piqued my interest. The old barn board is faded and grey with great texture. A pastel blue door accented the building, window frame, and room trim. In the middle of the wooden hut is a detailed wooded red Candian Maple leaf. I love the people of the Canadian Maritimes; they have pride in themselves and their country - and this building shows the extra attention given to even a simple shed.

Which is better, TIFF or JPG, for art prints?
One of the most frequently asked questions is what is the difference between JPG and TIFF? I have written an article discussing the difference. Click here for more information.
