The Contact Photo Festival in Toronto, Canada is held every spring. The photo festival features over 100 exhibits from various photographers and is spread across the entire city. Today, I traveled to the Dundas West section of Toronto, Canada, to view the exhibits and do street photography.
During my visit to the strip of Dundas West between Ossington and Lansdowne in Toronto, Canada, I visited five exhibits within a 1-kilometer distance. As always, I carry a camera, and as I was taken by the life of the neighborhood as taken. New restaurants, stores, and bars have been cropping up for the past couple of years, creating a visually intriguing community to photograph. I am adding to the body of work that I have built of Canadian people and places. This street photography image will be featured in my Toronto body of work.
The featured image above is of a young man merely doing early spring cleanup in his yard. I liked the visual and approached him and asked him if he minded taking some images of him. He immediately "struck the pose," and I love his expression.
