Horse drawn carriage Trinidad Cuba
A man riding down the street horse and buggy Trinidad Cuba
This street photograph was shot in the residential area of the famous Trinidad, Cuba travel destination. The man is riding in a homemade horse-drawn cart with four modern car tires. A small white horse pulls the cart.
In Trinidad, like many others cities in Cuba, horse-drawn wagons are the means of transportation for most people. Horse-drawn carriages in Cuba have been around since the 15th century when they were used on the island by the Spanish to haul freight. Through necessity, they are still in use today.
