Cypress trees on Caddo Lake misty morning

A misty morning swamp bayou scene of the American South featuring bald cypress trees and Spanish moss in Caddo Lake, Texas, is featured in the wall art photograph.
Bald Cypress trees are thousands of years old
Caddo Lake straddles the Texas-Louisiana border. The Caddo Lake wet areas of East Texas and southern Louisiana are full of alligators, paddlefish, and the grand old Bald Cypress tree. These native trees are some of the oldest trees in the world. Some Bald Cypress trees are over 3,500 years, slowly grow to heights of up to 150 feet, with a diameter of 17 feet. This photograph features the majestic, beautiful tree in the fall at sunrise. With the water still warm and the air cooling down to near-freezing temperatures, the Texas swamp becomes an eerie dark foggy marsh with barely visible trees. The water is completely still, allowing for a faint mirror silhouette of the majestic old tree. The leaves turn to vibrant orange in the Texas fall.
