In the year 2009, while on a boating journey from Florida to Maine, my camera captured the impressive New York City skyline from the vantage point of the Hudson River. This was a time before the Freedom Tower emerged into visibility from the river, etching its prominence onto the cityscape.
The day presented an overcast sky, a monochrome palette that beautifully articulated the mood of that particular moment. In response to this, I transformed the image into black and white, thereby enhancing the overall atmosphere. This adaptation brought forth a certain drama, with the clouds serving as an intense backdrop for the fusion of modern and classic architecture of the city's waterfront buildings and apartments.
