The boards have split and warped, the windows hang loose, and parts of the structure have given up. And yet, they’re still standing. There’s a kind of resilience here that you don’t get from anything modern. The farm equipment between the buildings, rusted and forgotten, adds another layer—like the last trace of activity that once gave this place purpose.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe sky that day mattered just as much as the buildings themselves. Thick, rolling clouds filled the frame, giving the entire scene weight. In black and white, it all simplifies into tone and contrast—the rough grain of the wood against the softness of the sky, the dark openings of the windows against the pale grass moving in the wind.
